Born in Warrington, Simon Henry grew up loving rhythm, influenced by drummers like Philly Joe Jones, Roy Haynes, Elvin Jones and Max Roach. He plays with Mu Quintet and the Fisher/Henry/Roffe trio. Equally at home in straight-ahead jazz and the avant-garde, he is one of the UK’s most exciting drummers.
